The Gamakatsu Skip Gap Hook is a worm hook featuring a uniquely bent shank that results in increased worm durability and keeps the soft plastic in place effectively throughout many casts. Skipping soft plastics can be an extremely effective technique when bass fishing in and around overhanging cover such as docks, trees and bushes. The effectiveness of the technique is often compromised by the inability to keep the soft plastic bait in place throughout the cast. Even the best bait keeper can render ineffective when faced with constant skips across the water's surface. The Gamakatsu Skip Gap Hook will pin the plastic in place by utilizing the odd bends in the hook shank.
