When it comes to casting extreme distances or boating a rig out even further the Whisker 45 SCW QD OT begins to come into its own. 

Our first reel to feature the QDM drag system, letting you adjust the drag from open to closed via one full turn. The more common QD only requires 1/2 a turn.

The LC Long Cast 45mm spool combined with Slow Cross Wrap line lay, applies minimal friction during line release, enabling extreme casting distances.

Tough Digigear II delivers ultra-smooth running and optimised power transmission – ideally suited to retrieval of rigs over great distances.

The Whisker is fitted with a 'C' spool (300m - 0.35mm) and comes supplied with two spare spools; 'LD' (530m- 0.35) and an 'SLD' (700m–0.35mm for large waters).
